Question Slavaging FoW armor..

I had Fissure armor for a while [Warrior] getting bored of it now since its really common now. I have a question for those who also got tired of their armor and slavged it.

I heard of people getting up to half of thier ectos back, and others only 10 or so.

What are the average amount of ectos would I'd be expecting to get if I salvage my Fissure armor?

None, because you shouldn't throw away armour that has so much value.

Seriously, if want to trash your armour simply because you think it's too comon, then you obviously got the armour for the wrong reasons.

It's shouldn't be about how rare or expensive it is, it should be about how you think it looks. Same thing goes for weapons.

Right.....well, here is an answer that might help you out.

I got sick of the Armor myself, and I needed a change. To many Mending Wammos had FoW. As you can see, I got the shaft on my ecto, but it was FUN.

Don't salvage it. You're throwing away your money.

And everything that is rare but can be obtained by lots of farming will get less rare over time.

Salvage it and get some decent-looking armor. An expensive steaming turd is still a steaming turd. And with the ecto and shards you can get better looking armor.

heh i just bought it to add to my collection.

anyways, if you get a perfect salvage kit, you should be guaranteed to get ectos out instead of the other more common materials.

I don't think Perfect Salvage Kits give guaranteed rare materials. I think they only salvage mods and guarantee successful retention of the weapon.

You'll recieve 1/3 of one of the types of crafting materials you put in. If you salvage the warrior chest piece you'll either get 15 Shards, 15 Ectos, 15 Deldrimor Steel or 50 Iron.

I salvaged a mesmer set back in 2006 and got 10 shards from the leggings, cloth from the chest and feet and a rune from the hands. With the current salvaging system you can guarantee materials but only luck will decive which ones.
